This Document is a compilation of the main features of several famous Bills and Charters of human rights around the world. It is intended as a discussion point on a Bill or Charter of Human Rights for Australia.
It is interesting to see historical concerns influencing in individual documents. For example South Africa mentions dignity, property rights, equality and freedom from violence; Islamic countries seek freedom from colonialism, and oppression; Canada stresses multilingual and aboriginal rights.
